Oh, yes, that’s me. :-) There’s a hurricane rampaging in Europe. Fortunately, Slovakia was not hit by it, but still you can notice that the wind is unusualy strong. It didn’t prevent me from running! And I’ve got back to barefoot running with my Vivobarefoot Neo Trail shoes. I love the feeling but it’s killing my tendons in feet. I have to be more careful than the last year when it caused plantar fasciitis.
Brace yourself… everybody know what is comming… :-) Well, actually it’s alredy here… Oh yes, the winter is here and all we can do about it is to deal with it.
Running is harder, more challenging but hell, who said it’s going to be easy? After nearly a month of being ill (and lazy) I’m back! :-)
PS: I love my new Salomon running vest!
Q:Where do you live? There're always beautiful running place on your blog. Love it!
Hi, I live in Slovakia, small country in the middle of Europe. And yes, you are right, the nature here is really beautiful. :-)
When I look from the window of our house, I can see a majestic hill. Ideal training ground for someone who has just realized that his friends signed him up to half-marathon in Zertmatt. :-) It’s more than 5K uphill and then of course the same distance downhill. Pretty hard, but those views! :-)
If one can stick to the training throughout the many long years, then will power is no longer a problem. It’s raining? That doesn’t matter. I am tired? That’s beside the point. It’s simply that I just have to.
Running should be about joy. Joy of the movement. Joy of the moment. Sometimes you should just run. Without thinking about the time, pace, intervals, kilometers (miles), etc. Just run in the places, where you have never been before and enjoy the landscape. Like I did. Even when there is mud everywhere… :-)
Wow! I couldn’t be more amazed and buffled when I noticed today, that the number of followers of this blog has reached 500 people! Everybody hates long speeches (and texts) so let me just say: Thank you for your interest, my friends! You made my day and you are keeping me going. And running, of course! :-)
To all the runners participating in New York City marathon! The whole world is cheering you! Go, go, go!
